Raptor Software Tools are software libraries that operate within a model-based development environment. They easily program New Eagle’s Raptor-compliant hardware to help you develop a production-ready control system for your machine quickly.

Development

New Eagle’s software development tool, Raptor-Dev, is a library of customizable Simulink blocks that allows developers to quickly create custom software for Raptor-compatible controllers and displays. Developers work directly in the Simulink environment with Raptor-Dev blocks, as well as native Simulink blocks and features.

The Raptor-Dev library blocks facilitate interaction between Simulink and all of the input, outputs, and communication channels of the control module hardware.

Raptor-DEV is intuitive — it reduces software complexity to speed up your development cycle by eliminating the need to understand understand low-level logic to manage controller hardware.

Calibration

Nearly all machines will need some level of calibration, but most software calibration tools are expensive, difficult to use, or have a limited functionality.

CAN Analysis

Trying to monitor raw CAN bus data or debug CAN bus problems without the proper software tools can be can be time consuming, tedious, and labor intensive. Yet many of the software products currently available on the market are expensive and difficult to use.

New Eagle’s Raptor-CAN software breaks is the simple, low cost, and easy-to-use solution for practically any CAN bus monitoring & debugging needs. Raptor-CAN can monitor, log, or send data to the CAN bus, decoding raw CAN bus data using DBC files so end-users only see signals in engineering units within the Raptor-CAN software. It can transmit pre-recorded CAN data back onto to the bus—a powerful feature that is especially useful for recreating scenarios without having to use the actual hardware that originally sent the messages.

Testing

Raptor-Test is a powerful software tool that facilitates testing of model-based software against your system’s requirements through simulated hardware-in-the-loop.  It uses a graphic interface that lets users quickly design and execute a test script, automating a once error-prone, manual testing process.

Raptor-Test records how your machine changes throughout its development cycle, which makes it easy to pinpoint (and correct) any errors in your machine’s system shown by test results. This gives you greater confidence in each software update you design for your machine, and in your machine’s overall reliability.

Diagnostics & Service

Raptor-Service makes it easy to flash software updates or troubleshoot issues in the field using custom displays or data logging.

Raptor-Service features an integrated data acquisition function, which allows users to log signals within their control module at update rates as fast as 5ms. Additionally, Raptor-Service’s integrated scan feature eliminates the need to know the exact baud rate and/or or city ID of the modules they are trying to connect to, making flashing updates faster and easier.
